Tips to Stay Warm

Super Service Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning wants to make sure that you are prepared for all Winter problems, so we’ve come up with a short list of things you can do to help keep the heat in your home, keep the cold out, and keep your wallet full. With Fall only just setting in, it can be very easy to forget to get your home and furnace ready for the cold weather. Here are a few things you can do to ensure that you are getting the most out of every penny put into your HVAC or heating unit.

  1.       Space Heaters – It may be more effective for you if you use small space heaters with caution to help keep your home warm, but it can be extremely effective for short periods of time or rooms that have little insulation. Space heaters pack a serious punch and not only can help keep a room warm that your heaters won’t reach, but can also help with heating costs.
  2.       Use Your Oven – This simple solution uses the heat from your oven to help keep your home clean. Think about how little you use your oven in the summer; why do that? Because it heats everything up worse. So, why not use that to help keep your heating costs low. Not only will you be saving on gas and/or oil prices, you’ll be making a bunch of delicious meals and desserts to enjoy on cold winter nights. It’s a win-win!
